The Gooseberries 2009!

Many, many thanks to everybody who attended The Gooseberries Award Ceremony on Thursday January 14th in The Sugar Club. It was absolutely jammers with an attendance that was three times the amount of last year's!

The night was a tremendous success on every front.Clint Velour proved yet again to be a great host and his TV clips were especially amusing. The filmed segments with the comedians from RTE's "The Savage Eye" left the audience in stitches and Michael O'Doherty from VIP Magazine showed a great sense of humour by holding his Gooseberry high and lifting it like it was a world cup trophy! If only more of the nominees were as much as craic as he was, sure he was the only one of them to turn up. Lighten up people!
